When using your factory "Mag-Ride" on an RS3 and TTRS it is easy to "over spring" the dampers and have them go into what is often described as “panic mode”. When this happens the dampers go full hard and the car will get very bouncy and unpredictable in corners.
Working with Ground Control Products and testing various combinations we found that for vehicles running the stock mag-ride the maximum reliable front/rear balance for spring rates is 375F/430R. This is the same combination that #OneOf250, our test vehicle, ran in One Lap of America in 2019 where we finished 13th overall out of 77 entrants. This combination provides a firm street ride and optimal track performance for factory equipped mag-ride vehicles. In addition, it has also worked well on the drag strip.
The Performance Street/Track spring kit is fully adjustable from 0-1.25” drop depending on vehicle combination and options. This allows for proper corner weighting to allow for optimal chassis balance
*For Drag Strip use we highly recommend adding our "Drag Pack" option which include custom specified spring inserts that increase spring rate by up to 20%, helping minimize rear end squat on launch*
Special Notes:
*Please note if using factory strut tops the lowering of the front suspension should be limited to no more than 1". The use of our Ground Control Camber Plates is strongly recommended to ensure the best possible performance and proper wheel alignment.*
**Please note when using our Drag Pack option it is recommended to remove the inserts for street use to eliminate over-springing the factory mag ride dampers.*
