8V Full Carbon Fiber Roof

529Innovations has partnered with a Midwest based composites manufacturer to bring you bespoke carbon fiber parts that are proudly made in the USA. This is the same manufacturer that produces carbon fiber components for SEMA award winning vehicles by Ring Brothers and was selected to produce Carbon Fiber body panels for Jordan Racing, Vance and Hines and multiple other professional motorsports teams. In addition they produce a variety of other products for companies such as Nike.

Features include:

• Less than 8 pounds total weight

• 40+ pounds of weight reduction on cars with factory sun roof.

  • While we would like to claim 50+ pounds as posted on various forums and social media that has not been our experience. After weighing all the parts removed from the RS3 we feel that 40+ is a more realistic expectation of the actual weight savings.

• 5 Ply full carbon construction for the ultimate in stiffness

• 2 Stage thermal post cure to eliminate shrinkage and enhance dimensional stability

• Full factory flanges to ensure a leakproof bond , eliminate wind noise and flex.

  • We took no shortcuts on the mounting flanges, after all this is what is holding the roof to the car and keeping it sealed. This is especially important along the sides. What this means is that our roof uses the same rolled over lip as the factory panel. A flat or 90 degree edge would be significantly cheaper to manufacture but we wanted to make no compromises.
